Hopi ear candles - Thermo Auricular Therapy

Candles have been used widely in North America and Asia and although the current treatment was introduce to the west by the Hopi Indians the use of ear candles to treat ear problems has been known for centuries and used by the Egyptians, Romans and Greeks.

The candles are used to treat many ailments, including migraine and headaches, glue ear in children, catarrh, sore throats, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ‘flu and excessive ear wax. The candles work in three phases, the first being a chimney effect where a gentle suction, draws out debris from the ear. Next, the mild heat stimulates the blood and lymph circulation, boosting the immune system, therefore boosting the body’s natural cleansing action.

Finally a regulation of the pressure within the sinuses. Many people report an immediate release of pressure in their head after just one treatment session, although; depending on the condition, a number of sessions may be required to ease ongoing problems. Most people require between one and three treatments. Each treatment takes about half an hour and includes a facial/sinus massage.

Raindrop Therapy

The Raindrop Technique is a method of using reflexology and massage techniques in combination with essential oils. Specific oils are applied to the body, bringing structural as well as electrical balance. This gentle treatment helps align the energy centres of the body, and allows release if they are blocked. Oils used are: Young Living products of Valor, Aroma-Siez, Ortho-ease, as well as oils of thyme, oregano, cypress, wintergreen, basil, peppermint, and marjoram. When this treatment is done in conjunction with colon therapy, the cleansing is more thorough.

Reflexology

Reflexology has been used for thousands of years; it is the application of pressure to specific points in the foot and hands that correlate to the appropriate organs in the body. This therapy can aid in the treatment of both mental and physical conditions as well as promoting a deep sense of relaxation, which is so valuable in today's lifestyle where stress levels are at the root of so many illnesses. Reflexology is used to manipulate various organs and systems to realign the harmony in the body. The results of reflexology has been most impressive in aiding the treatment of the following conditions: PMS, digestive problems, Sinusitis, aches and pains
